Note: Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please stop using the Service.

3. Account registration, use, and security
- You must ensure your registration information is true, lawful, and reachable, and that you are authorized to create/manage an account on behalf of an organization (if applicable).
- You are responsible for all actions taken under your account, including actions by team members (if any) and automated scripts.
- You must keep your login credentials secure. If you suspect account compromise or credential leakage, you should change your login method promptly and notify us.
- We may require additional verification or supporting documentation for security purposes (for example, domain ownership verification or company information).
4. Service scope and availability
- LinkGate provides short-link creation and management, redirecting, basic analytics, QR code generation, and related features; the actual features available in the product prevail.
- We may update or adjust features, APIs, quotas, and risk-control policies. If a change materially and adversely affects you, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via in-product notice or email.
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we do not provide a specific SLA; the Service may be interrupted or experience performance fluctuations due to maintenance, upgrades, or third-party dependency failures.
5. Your content and responsibilities
- You represent and warrant that your Content (including destination URLs, parameters, QR codes, etc.) is lawful and compliant, and does not infringe any third-party rights (including copyright, trademark, privacy, or trade secrets).
- You understand: LinkGate provides redirect and link-management tools only, and is not responsible for the content, availability, or security of third-party websites you link to.
- You must not use the Service to circumvent regulations, bypass platform review, spoof sources, or mislead users.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service for, or assist with, any of the following (including but not limited to):
- Illegal activities: any activity that violates applicable laws and regulations.
- Fraud & phishing: impersonation pages, credential harvesting, scam links, social engineering, etc.
- Malware & attacks: malware distribution, exploit delivery, command-and-control, downloaders, or being used as a malicious relay, etc.
- Abusive traffic: DDoS, credential stuffing, bulk forged requests, bypassing quotas, or high-frequency requests that affect service stability.
- Infringement & harmful content: copyright/trademark infringement or distribution of illegal content or severely inappropriate content.
- Privacy violations & data abuse: unlawful collection/sale of personal data, or guiding users to authorize data access in a non-transparent way.
Enforcement actions: If we determine you violate these Terms or pose a security risk, we may take actions including (but not limited to) restricting links, suspending redirects, freezing/terminating accounts, or requiring remediation and supporting information.
7. Paid plans, billing, and usage rules (Paddle)
- Payment processor: the Service uses Paddle to process payments, subscriptions, and settlements (including credit cards and local payment methods, as shown on the checkout page).
- Auto-renewal and charge authorization: when you purchase a subscription, you authorize Paddle to charge you on the billing cycle you select until you cancel. If we adjust pricing, taxes, or plan contents within a reasonable scope, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance (typically no less than 7 days), effective from the next billing cycle. If you do not agree to the changes, you may cancel before they take effect. In case of changes, the checkout/billing pages prevail.
- Merchant of Record (MoR) model: you understand and agree that when using Paddle checkout, Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record and processes your order and payment. You purchase the subscription via Paddle, while the Service is provided by the Operator. Paddle may handle tax and compliance matters under this model (for example, collecting and remitting VAT/sales tax).
- Taxes and invoices/receipts: applicable taxes and invoice/receipt rules are determined by Paddle and local regulations. Where supported, you may obtain invoices/receipts from Paddle’s buyer portal or via support.
- Usage and limits: usage metrics, quotas, limits, and overage policies for each plan are described on the product/billing pages (for example, number of short links, redirect request volume, and analytics features). We may adjust limits based on abuse risk and cost structure.
- Cancellation and expiry: you may cancel from the billing/subscription entry. Cancellation typically does not affect the current billing period that has already started; benefits will downgrade or stop after the billing period ends.
8. Refunds and cancellations
- Unless required by law or expressly promised by us, we generally do not offer pro-rated refunds for billing periods that have already started.
- For duplicate charges, billing errors, or failure to provision paid features, we will handle refunds or corrections within a reasonable scope after verification.
- For details, see the Refund Policy: https://linkgate.cc/refund.
9. Privacy and data
- We process personal information and related data in accordance with the Privacy Policy: https://linkgate.cc/privacy.
- You understand that short-link redirects generate necessary access logs and analytics data (for example timestamps, referrer, and device information) for analytics and risk control.
- You must ensure you do not include unlawful, sensitive, or unauthorized personal data in your Content.
10. Third-party services
The Service may rely on third-party services (for example DNS, hosting/CDN, payments, email, and analytics). Availability issues, failures, or policy changes of third parties may affect the Service. Except where required by applicable law, we are not responsible for third-party services.
11. Intellectual property
- The Service’s software, interface, trademarks, documentation, code, and related rights are owned by us or our licensors.
- You retain rights to your Content. You grant us a license to use, copy, store, process, and display your Content to the extent necessary to provide the Service (for example redirecting, generating QR codes, analytics, and abuse prevention).
12. Termination and suspension
- You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.
- If you violate these Terms or pose risk/damage to the platform, we may suspend or terminate the Service (including stopping redirects, freezing accounts, or restricting features).
- After termination, your short links may stop redirecting. Data retention and deletion follow the Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
13. Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an “AS IS” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation, or that the Service will meet your specific needs. You should assess the risks of using short links for marketing or critical business flows and maintain appropriate backups and contingency plans (for example multiple domains or an alternative redirect solution).
14. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law (for example liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, etc.). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for indirect losses (such as loss of profits, business interruption, loss of goodwill, or data loss).
- In any event, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the total service fees you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Indemnity
- Scope: this Section 15 applies only to users who use the Service for business/commercial purposes (it does not apply to consumers).
- Obligation: for business/commercial users, if any third party brings claims, penalties, or disputes against the Operator due to your intentional misconduct or gross negligence in using the Service, your Content, or your breach of these Terms, you shall be responsible and indemnify the Operator for reasonable losses and costs (including legal fees and investigation expenses).
- Cooperation: the Operator will provide reasonable notice of such claims and will cooperate with you within a reasonable scope to address them.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If you continue to use the Service after updates, you are deemed to accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
17. Governing law and dispute resolution
- Governing law: to the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (excluding conflict-of-law rules).
- Dispute resolution: any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the courts of England and Wales.
- Consumer rights: if you are a consumer and reside in the UK/EEA or other regions, these Terms do not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your residence. Where permitted, you may also bring claims in your local courts.
18. Contact us
For help, appeals, or questions about these Terms, contact: support@linkgate.cc
Billing and order support: for payment failures, charges, invoices/receipts, refunds, or chargebacks, we may ask for your Paddle order details and guide you through Paddle’s buyer support process.
19. Incorporated policies and precedence
- These Terms, together with the following policies, form the complete agreement between you and the Operator regarding the Service (collectively, the “Agreement”): Privacy Policy https://linkgate.cc/privacy; Refund Policy https://linkgate.cc/refund; Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) https://linkgate.cc/aup.
- If these Terms conflict with any of the above policies, these Terms prevail. If you and the Operator sign a separate written agreement or appendix (for example a DPA), that agreement/appendix prevails to the extent of the conflict.
20. Notices and electronic communications
- You agree that we may send you service-related notices and communications electronically (including service announcements, billing reminders, security alerts, and updates to these Terms).
- Notices may include (but are not limited to) emails to your account email address, announcements on the website/console, or in-product popups. To the extent permitted by applicable law, notices are deemed delivered at the time they are sent or posted.
21. Force majeure
- We are not liable for failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control.
- Force majeure events include (but are not limited to) natural disasters, war/riots, governmental actions or regulatory restrictions, telecom/network failures, third-party service outages (such as hosting/CDN/payment channels), large-scale cyberattacks (for example DDoS), malware outbreaks, and power outages.
- If force majeure occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to mitigate impact and restore the Service when feasible.
